Stronger's 1/8 Hanairogoromo Luka has been coloured and she looks absolutely breathtaking! I really loved how the colours on her kimono don't overwhelm the figure, and how gentle it looks overall. As usual like the other figures, she's 12,800yen on amazon and amiami.

Stronger has also announced on twitter they're working on Rin and Len's Hanairogoromo figures too:
'もちろん鏡音リンレンも鋭意制作中、花色衣シリーズで続きます！！'
So I'm SUUUUPER excited for their final products!! I will definitely be getting them and they'll be my first scale figures

I really love the Hanairogoromo series and I have faith in Stronger to produce them in a similar quality as the rest of the Cryptonloids. I was even thinking about getting KAITO too if I had the extra moolah but we'll see.

~New Songs (Jan 1st-31st)~

Tokyo Destruction / Virgin Noize feat. Rin, Len & Miku
I always have to double take when I see another new Virgin Noize tokyo series song because they don't seem to like changing their art at all LAUGHS SLOWLY... But overall a really nicely put together song with fast vocals for the verses and a slower chorus to balance it all off.

Itai no Itai no Tonde ike / mmmmmacky feat. Rin & Len

TRASH and TRASH! / KurageP feat. Rin
I believe this is the first video he's uploaded with Rin in it and she sounds quite well tuned. I FELT LIKE SHE WAS TALKING TO ALL MY WEEB STUFF I'VE BOUGHT OVER THE YEARS but then she and Len take up the majority of my merch so paps the rinchan

Nakanai Watashi ga Sakebu Uta / Favori feat. Rin
WOW OK EVERYBODY ON BOARD THE BREAKUP ANGST TRAIN

Shion / shintaro feat. Rin
A really well put together rock song with slow vocals. Tuning was a bit too sharp at times, but surprisingly I found it quite pleasant, especially when the chorus was played on the guitar at the end.

Hakusendoori Yuuyake Machi / SAMISH feat. Len
My favourite part in this video was probably the wonderful tune played on the wooden xylophone/marimba(???) at the beginning and end of the video. I did feel like it didn't really tie together in well with the melody and style of the singing parts, but then again it's probably just me.

RoaDream / ЯiveR feat. Len
Do you ever get the nostalgic feeling of seeing a 2010 video in a 2017? Yeah, me too. The way the video was made really brought me back to the old days and it surely was an experience.

2016 Dec 1st-31st - New Kagamine Songs!

It's a NEW YEAR!! I hope everybody had a lovely Christmas and welcomed the new year with a bang!

Apologies for not writing up an entry for Dec 1st-15th because I was busy with usabf coming over from Perth and I had to show him around

Then when I finally got around to writing this up I started watching Magical Mirai 2016 videos... BUT TO REDEEM MYSELF I have included the Dec 1st-15th songs in this entry too so nobody is missing out on anything!

The 100 Kagamine Collaboration 2016 was a huge success and we got so many amazing pieces of artwork that showed the world how much we still love Rin and Len! Here's to a great 2017 to all of you who read my entries every time I post one!!

Aquamarine's ONE 1/8 scale has also been released since their announcement at wonfes in 2015. She's available on amiami for 10,020 JPY.

Also going up for preorder this month (January) is their IA ROCKS 1/8 scale figure.

These Miku V3, MEIKO V3 and KAITO V3 GIFT plushies are now up for preorder! Last time I checked preorders for KAITO have already closed so there's just Miku and MEIKO left.

~New Songs (Dec 16th-31st)~

Adabana Psychological / FAULHEIT feat. Rin & Len
A rather badass song by FAULHEIT! I do really like that sweet GUITAR RIFF AT THE BRIDGE it's absolutely wonderful.

Nagisa no Beach Flag / kidP & various feat. Len
It's that time of the year where the shota Lens appear once again... I still don't know how to feel about this. One comment on the video that made me laugh was 'Huh..? I think my eyes are sweating'

Iiko no Susume / 3i2e feat. Rin & Len
3i2e (pronounced as Minii) is a new producer who animated, illustrated and wrote this entire song! You can tell they still have a lot to learn, but for a first time producer they did really well. The video below is from their official youtube channel so be sure to show them some support!

Take-out・Suicide / Shiikun feat. Rin & Len
I actually found the chorus really weird sounding? The background music didn't quite gel together with the singing and I didn't find it enjoyable. I love the illustration and that's about it.

Kimi ni Koishiteru / ugoP feat. Rin
A lovely song with a nice beat and melody but Rin was tuned so highly at some parts I wanted to cry--

Apostrophe / *Luna feat. Len
The moment the song started I knew I was going to love everything about it. I really enjoyed this from start to finish and the tuning was done by one of the Len tuning gods bibi! Luna is just so good and consistent with their songs and I can't wait for more from them.

The Last Supper / natsuP (SCL Project) feat. Gackpo, KAITO & Len
A dramatic and suspenseful song but none other than the FAMOUS SCL PROJECT!! The PV is illustrated beautifully and conveys the wonderful twist at the end. Another song to add to my VOCALOID playlist.

2016 Nov 16th-30th - New Kagamine Songs!

Rank 16 - Dappou Rock / Neru feat. Len

~Merchandise News~

Snow Miku 2017's nendo and figma have been coloured and revealed. However a lot of fans weren't very happy with the figures in terms of GSC straying away from the 'Constellation' theme.
It was made a point that the artist worked very hard on the design but the small details like the constellation signs and stars on her dress were taken off as well as the eyes on the nendo being plain and not sticking to the original illustration. Even Yukine's stars and constellations were taken off his scarf too.

The Rin/Len 1/12 scale swimsuit figurines by FREEing from last year's wonfes are finally coloured! Unfortunately the only things I love about their figurines are Len's hair and the shading of both of them, so I'll be passing on these two and will save up on the eventual Hanairogoromo Kagamines!

Two new Yukari scale figurines have been announced by Pulchra! I'm not a huge fan of the company since their sculpts aren't the best and they charge a kidney for one--

The 1/7 Snow Miku figurine announced last wonfes has been revealed and it looks really dynamic and full of life. ~~she's going to break her ankle if she keeps that pose up~~

Tokyo Genocide / Virgin Noize feat. Rin & Len
I believe this is the first time Virgin Noize uploaded a video featuring the Kagamines in them..?

Zombene / YuugouP feat. Rin & Len
Hey yuugou, a bit late for Halloween yeah? Anyway nice to see my children being future zombie killers and that part at the back was...?

Karaibari Behavior / WONDERFUL★OPPORTUNITY! feat. Rin & Len
Another Kotonoha Project song ~~me screaming in glee that most of the songs in this series are by the Kagamines~~ by JesusP! I found similarities in this and their previous songs so I hope JesusP can work more outside of his comfort zone like in the old days.

Triangle / Takenoko Shounen feat. Rin V4X
Loving the sick guitar intro and solo. Rin suits it so well but I do think using the original appends for this would amp the awesomeness up even more due to the lack of power in V4X.

Give me a break Stop now / Ningen Goukaku feat. Rin (REMIX & cover)
For the people who are new to this song, it was written for Reol by Giga in... August-ish? You can view the original video here and see what Reol looks like for the first time.

Landout / SAMISH feat. Len
This style of tuning actually reminded me of the old 2010-ish VOCALOID songs and boy it brings me back.

Who ever knew we've always needed a song about how amazing ramen is. Even watching the video made me hungry.

I thought this was going to be nice rock song with accompanying vocals but I was met with pure on rock and soft vocals. Not really my favourite pieces from this period of time since heavy rock isn't quite my thing.

Mahiru no Knife / nee feat. Rin
YAAAAAAAS I DO LOVE A NICELY TUNED RIN AND CATCHY ROCK INTROS

Totsugeki Hiyoko / ramo feat. Rin & Len
I'm just going to let you listen to this without telling you anything about it.

Pessimism ga Owaru Mae ni / vitaminnaaniki feat. Rin
A really sweetly tuned piece with a touch of grace and gentleness.

a decayed garden sinks into the isolated sea / SOOOO feat. Len V4X
A super dark song which should have been uploaded during Halloween because it suits the event more than it does now.

This game / doubleLen feat. Len (cover)
I'm a fan of No Game No Life so I was pretty impressed with how well Len was tuned here. A bit on the breathy side but it's not that obvious. cillia did the mixing for this so it explains the near perfection.

Aoi Himawari / MIRAISONIC feat. Fukase & Len
When I saw the thumbnail on youtube I thought it was gonna be another great oldies style VOCALOID boy band song ~~indomitable power or your highness my princess~~ but dammit it wasn't. I couldn't really hear Len in this so I guess he's just the backup ~~dancer~~ singer.

[NEW] rerulili's self covers are usually really good so I was content with the boys singing this.
The first time I listened to the original (Miku/GUMI's ver.) I couldn't help but draw parallels to rerulilis' previous works due to how similar they sound. I was squinting so much at the art because it looked so familiar then I realized it was by MW oh ymgo d I own one of her doujins and all the pages are wet due to my tears of gratitude--

And of course no Halloween is complete without bringing back a Junky classic into the rankings.

Len's Trickster module nendo co-de was finally revealed and I immediately preordered him the moment he appeared on amiami. Lots of people were just surprised Len won the poll instead of Miku so here he is in all his glory. Hopefully this was a good indication to GSC to make more Kagamine merchandise in the future.

~New Songs (Oct 16th-31st)~

Kabocha Parade / YuugouP feat. Rin & Len
I literally cannot remember the last time yuugou uploaded his last song ~~i thought he abandoned the Kagamines forever~~ His songs are mostly short but they're so catchy you'd just wish they would go on forever.

Beautiful Lie / regulus (Weiße Schokolade) feat. Rin V4X

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAS MY SAVIOR REGULUS I absolutely adored this song the moment I played it because it's everything I love in a video. Nicely done techno/dubstep, powerful Rin tuning, an upbeat intro and a variety of pace, I couldn't ask for anything more. The pretty illustration was just the cherry on top.

Boku wa Kimi no Agitator Janai / Neru feat. Len
This pretty much going through the same fate as Sennou because it wasn't uploaded by Neru himself. It's less... ///CLEARS THROAT impact-ful than Dappou Rock I guess. Neru originally wrote this song for Takuto plus Takuto uploaded Len's version on his channel so it's a bummer it's not getting the recognition it deserves.

Senchi Seishin Journey / Nanahoshi Kangengakudan feat. Len
Yes this was uploaded yesterday but I couldn't help posting it because it's soooo good. Nanahoshi does pretty good Len tuning and I always look forward to his works.

Happy Halloween Musicas / Machigerita x tawashi feat. 6 VOCALOIDs
I found the mix between so many music genres really interesting and different. You just gotta have a Machigerita song on Halloween.

Spooky to Owaranai Halloween / FAULHEIT feat. GUMI, IA, Rin, Len, KAITO & Gackpo

Zenyasai no Rousoku / mayuko feat. Rin, Len, KAITO & IA
Ah yes, Halloween means mayuko season has finally arrived.

Fuka Homura Utopia / Mocchi Mochi Oukoku feat. Rin

Kiro Kitan / Inumaru Shibaigoya feat. Miku & Rin
Inumaru tends to tell really great stories through their PVs and this time is no exception. However I thought the transition between Rin's strong, sharp voice and Miku's muffled singing was a bit off putting and unbalanced... so this wouldn't be one of my favourites from Inumaru, unfortunately.
